0.12% chlorhexidine gluconate in a base containing 11.6% alcohol. Used between dental visits, Peridex reduces the redness, swelling and bleeding of gums caused by gingivitis. Pleasant herbal mint taste. Works even after rinsing because one third of its active ingredient - chlorhexidine gluconate - binds to oral surfaces and is slowly released into oral fluids.
